Gurmeet Choudhary: 'Playing Ram In Ramayan Helped Me To Bag My First Film'
Actor Gurmeet Choudhary who is currently seen playing Ram in re-run of his mythological show Ramayan has also been part of many Bollywood films. But do you know how the actor managed to get his first role to debut in the world of movies? Well, it was thanks to his character of Ram. Sharing the interesting story of how he was cast for Mukesh Bhatt's Khamoshiyan actor said, "Today, if I am a successful actor it is all because of my first show Ramayan." He further added, "The show has helped me bag my first Bollywood film, Khamoshiyan. It was Mukesh Bhatt's wife, Nilima Bhatt, who first spotted me on television while I was playing the role of Lord Ram. I am forever grateful to Ramayan for making me who I am today. Had I not played this role, I would have never become an actor." Gurmeet believes that playing Ram has been the turning point of his career and helped him to become one of the most accomplished actors on the block. 


"I am grateful for the re-telecast Ramayan in such difficult times. Since the re-launch, I have been receiving a lot of love and affection for my character. Ramayan was my first show which propelled me as an actor and helped me gain visibility," he said. Gurmeet has also been quite popular with his character of Maan Singh Khurana in TV show Geet- Hui Sabse Parai and Yash in  Punar Vivah.
